NEW YORK, New York—December 18, 2008—Falls Media, publisher of the highly successful Would You Rather…? book series, has sold a portion of its assets, including its name, to Imagination Games. Falls Media founders Justin Heimberg and David Gomberg have launched a new company, Seven Footer Entertainment, with a publishing arm, Seven Footer Press, to continue their vision of publishing cutting-edge nonfiction—innovative humor, gift, and high-concept books—into the future.

President and Publisher David Gomberg explained the choice of the new name: “Justin and I have long shared a sense of awe and wonder at the great seven-foot players of the NBA. From Ralph Sampson to Manute Bol to Patrick Ewing, there’s a tradition in seven-footers that combines excellence at the game and a strong sense of teamwork, dominance with vulnerability, elegance with lankiness, as well as the ability to stand out on their own.”

Seven Footer Press launches its debut title, Read It and Wipe: Condensed Comedy for the Can, in January 2009. This book from Justin Heimberg and David Gomberg brings new meaning to the term “bathroom humor.”

The first major venture made under the Seven Footer banner was the formation of a children’s imprint, Seven Footer Kids, which launches its first title in March 2009: Life-Size Zoo by Teruyuki Komiya. An oversized photo encyclopedia featuring actual size photographs of twenty beloved animals alongside informative and fun facts, this one-of-a-kind book arrives as part of an exciting new publishing arrangement with the Japanese media conglomerate Gakken.

The Seven Footer name change carries over to the other imprint brought forward from Falls Media, Classless Education, which will continue its line of books dedicated to the notion that learning and fun do more than work well together. As Falls Media backlist titles are reprinted, they will be rebranded with the Seven Footer Press name and colophon.
